The writing world owes a great debt to the organisation that decided to make my friend Karen J Mossman redundant in 2013.
Because that life-changing event prompted Karen to retire and take up writing. Two years on, and Karen has published one novel and three short story collections.

Thank goodness she has a sister and good friends to support her. The trouble is it gets complicated when her best friends is a he.
